Covenant of the River

The Northern Colorado Covenant of the River, of Fort Collins, CO, has been an active part of the greater Pagan community for over 9 years. We are a family friendly, eclectic group who gathers to explore, exchange knowledge, learn about and further understand our own Spiritual Paths, while finding acceptance within the comfort of an open circle atmosphere. The Northern Colorado Covenant of the River is a place where all with an open heart and mind are welcome. Come out and meet local Pagans, Asatru, Buddhists, Druids, Wiccans, Witches and other practitioners on a Pagan Path. Our activities and topics vary from week to week to support our diversity and also to celebrate the Wheel of the Year. Join us to share ideas and lore, make friends, craft tools and other items, write and perform ritual, participate in lively discussions and to explore the rich and varied practices of the Pagan traditions. This website is a living work of love and will be updated as often as possible, so please check in often to see what we have planned.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

That says Happy New Year in Mandarin. Here in the USA, we don’t usually think of New Year as a sacred or religious observance. But in China it is. This is a day to honor our ancestors, and akin to Imbolc to clear away the old energy to prepare for the new.

Ritual garb is encouraged, as is wearing red, but certainly not required. If you are able, please bring something that reminds you of your ancestors for our ancestor shrine.

The first signs of spring mean that Imbolc is upon us. It is time to celebrate that which has gone, that which has yet to begin, and that which we shall renew.

We will gather at 4pm, start ritual at 4:30, and then feast after.

After the ritual we will also be having a re-dedication for the Council. We do not usually oath in this group as we are not all ready to bear the weight of those oaths for each other. As such, participation is entirely optional and the ceremony for this will be separate from the main ritual, and from the sumbl.
